OPPO Unveils the new Find X8s and X8s+: Compact Flagships with Flagship Performance
The new OPPO X8 series is headlined by the Ultra model, but if you’re looking for something a bit more affordable without giving up flagship-level specs, OPPO’s got you covered with the Find X8s and Find X8s+.
Both of these phones are more compact than the Ultra. The Find X8s comes with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution, while the X8s+ is slightly larger at 6.59 inches. Both have 120Hz refresh rates, so you’re getting that super smooth scrolling and animations.
Under the hood, they’re powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, featuring an overclocked main core running at 3.73GHz and upgraded AI performance. You can get them with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and storage options from 256GB all the way up to a massive 1TB.
Battery-wise, the Find X8s packs a 5,700mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W wired charging, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse charging. The X8s+ has the same charging features but bumps the battery size up to 6,000mAh.
As for cameras, both models sport a triple-lens setup with a 50MP main sensor that includes OIS and a 24mm equivalent lens. They also have an ultrawide lens with a 120° field of view. The X8s features a telephoto lens with dual-axis OIS and an f/2.6 aperture, while the X8s+ goes for a 73mm periscope lens with an f/2.8 aperture.
On the software side, both phones run OPPO’s ColorOS 15.0 based on Android 15 and support the OPPO Mag Magnetic Ecosystem — similar to Apple’s MagSafe. They also come with IP68/IP69 ratings, meaning they’re tough against dust and can handle water — even high-pressure jets.
The Find X8s will be available in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, Island Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink. The Find X8s+ comes in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, and Hyacinth Purple. Both are already up for pre-order in China through OPPO’s official site and partner retailers.
Shipping starts April 16, with pricing starting at CNY 4,199 for the 12GB/256GB base model, and going up to CNY 5,499 for the 16GB/1TB version.
