OPPO Unveils the Find X8 Ultra: A Flagship Packed with Power and Innovation
We’ve been hearing about the next Find X series from OPPO for a while now, and the company has finally unveiled its latest flagship—the new Find X8 Ultra. This device sits at the top of the lineup, alongside its other siblings, which we’ll cover in a separate post. For now, our attention is focused on the Find X8 Ultra, which isn’t just an upgrade in the series—it’s packed to the brim with all the bells and whistles OPPO has to offer for this generation.
To start with, the Find X8 Ultra features a bright and silky-smooth 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-slim 1.4mm bezels. The screen supports 10-bit color, ProXDR, and Dolby Vision, making it a powerhouse not only for gaming but also for all things multimedia.
When it comes to photography, the Find X8 Ultra could very well replace your DSLR for everyday use. Its main camera module houses five rear cameras, led by a 1-inch 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor. This is backed by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

Unique to the Find X8 Ultra, and alongside the sensors mentioned above, the device is also equipped with two 50MP periscope telephoto cameras. One features a Sony LYT-700 sensor with 3x optical zoom, and the other a LYT-600 sensor with 6x optical zoom. Rounding out the setup is a 2MP spectral color sensor that enhances color accuracy.
Thanks to this powerful camera array, the Find X8 Ultra supports up to 120x digital zoom and 4K video recording at 60FPS with Dolby Vision enabled across all sensors. Powering all of this is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite Edition chipset, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To prevent thermal throttling, the device employs an aerospace-grade vapor chamber and dual-layer graphite cooling system, ensuring optimal performance even under heavy use.

The Find X8 Ultra packs a massive 6,100mAh battery, supporting 100W wired SuperVOOC charging, 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging for compatible devices.
It runs on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, and features an in-display fingerprint sensor. Additional features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-antenna NFC, GPS, infrared, and a bionic vibration motor for a more tactile experience.

Interestingly, the Find X8 Ultra also introduces two new physical buttons. There’s a Shortcut button on the upper-left side that can be customized for functions or app shortcuts, and a Quick button on the bottom-right edge, which is primarily used for camera control.
The new flagship is IP68/IP69 certified and comes in three stunning color options: Starry Black, Moonlight White, and Morning Light.

As for availability, the Find X8 Ultra will initially launch in China on April 16. Pricing starts at 6,499 Yuan for the 12GB/256GB model. The 16GB/256GB version is priced at 6,999 Yuan, while the top-tier 16GB/1TB configuration comes in at 7,999 Yuan.
