Microsoft also announced the larger Lumia 640 XL, coming this march

The Lumia 640 is already a great device at a very affordable price, but if you’re the kind of person who wants to take more that just the basics then its bigger brother the Lumia 640 XL is the device for you. It’s both designed for work and play as it comes with the same IPS LCD display but much larger at 5.7-inch that makes a better viewing room for all your documents, images and will be suited best for your mobile games. It also comes with ClearBlack screen technology for even better viewing plus it comes protected with Gorilla Glass 3 that helps eliminate or minimize minor scratches on the screen for better viewing experience.

Like the Lumia 640, the Lumia 640 XL also comes with the same Quad-Core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage plus 15 GB of cloud storage with Microsoft OneDrive and an additional 15 GB cloud storage when you set automatic uploads from the Camera Roll and support for up to 128 GB micro-SD cards – just in case you needed more room for your files and stuff.

What’s really a big improvement against its small sibling is that the new Lumia 640 XL comes will an upgraded camera modules at the main camera features a larger 13 Megapixel camera sensor with Auto Focus feature and LED flash while the from camera module has also been given a pixel bump which is at 5 Megapixel. These features produces much better quality images and the larger front camera will provide a higher quality images during video calls and better selfies with its wide-angle lens.

Browsing made easy with the Lumia 640 as it comes with 4G/LTE capabilities in addition to 3G/HSPA+ and GSM wireless network support. With every smartphones of today, you’ll expect Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0 and GPS as a number of standard features.

With Lumia 640 XL, the battery has also been upgraded with 3000 mAh which is able to provide of up to 23.7 hour talk-time on 3G network and up to 39 days on standby. It also comes with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim update which carries the latest features on Windows Phones including Live Tiles, Live Folders, new Action Center, Word Flow keyboard, Glance Screen and with Windows 10 coming  this year, you’ll be able to upgrade on the new OS as soon as Windows 10 for Phones becomes available.

Microsoft is also rolling out the new Lumia 640 XL this march globally. Both the single SIM and the dual SIM variants would cost 189 Euros for the 3G only model while the LTE capable handset start at 219 Euros before duties and taxes.
