Microsoft Lumia 640 announced at MWC, affordable and trendy

At Mobile World Congress, Microsoft has unveiled a new and affordable Windows 8.1 device. The Microsoft Lumia 640 will be the company’s latest bang for the buck handset designed for people whose tight on the budget but still wants to enjoy a fully featured smartphone.

The new Lumia 640 features Windows 8.1 with the latest Lumia Denim update with features such as the new Live Tiles, Action Center, Swift Keyboard, the new Live folders and the wide range of Windows apps and games. All with an exclusive, unique and intuitive user experience that only the Windows Phone OS can offer. The Lumia 640 can also be upgraded to the upcoming Windows 10 for phones when the OS is readily available for the device.

The Lumia 640 packs a 5-inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 layer for protection. It is powered by a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM, There’s an 8 GB of built-in storage with 30 GB free cloud storage with Microsoft’s OneDrive, also for added on device storage, the Lumia 640 supports micro-SD cards of up to 128 GB in capacity,

Despite the price value of such device, the Lumia 640 still comes with an amazing camera with 8 Megapixel sensor on the with AutoFocus and LED flash. The front camera however is a basic but capable 1 Megapixel sensor which can produce quite good quality image during video calls and even your basic selfies. To take the most of the camera on the device, Microsoft includes the latest Lumia Camera 5 which comes with various manual camera controls to take the perfect shot.

At the communication stand-point, the Lumia 640 will be available in two variants, in Single-SIM and Dual-SIM configurations and sports 3G only and 3G with LTE wireless network capabilities. We also believe that other connectivity options will also be a standard in the package which includes:  Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.

the Microsoft Lumia 640 will be launching in a number of pastel colors including: Glossy Cyan, Orange, White and Matte Black. Microsoft has already set the a global roll out sometime on April in multiple new markets with Prices that starts at 139 Euros for the 3G only model and 159 Euros for the 3G-LTE variants. The prices mentioned here are base prices only and that doesn’t include any duties and taxes and expect prices to vary from one mobile operator to the next and also from retail outlets.
