ZTE will use Google Now Launcher as the default homescreen for selected upcoming devices
ZTE has been doing well for some time now, the have stretch their reach from the roots in China up to the different parts of the world. The have also collaborated with different mobile OS providers but it seems the most popular is Google’s Android. The company has offered quite a number of Android devices lately and as they prepare to announce another great Android device with ZTE’s Blade Vec 4G in Hong Kong this coming July 24, ZTE announced today that a few of its future Android device line-up will feature a stock Android NOW launcher.
Lately, Most OEM’s creates custom interfaces on top of Android to differentiate themselves from other manufacturers. This customization usually improved the visual experience and adds more functionality to the ones provided by Google, but oftentimes these additional layers tends to slow down devices which then turns laggy even though they are built with multicore processors and adequate RAM.
ZTE’s announcement to embrace stock Android experience is mostly welcomed by users and enthusiasts, as they no longer need to perform additional tasks just to get the pure Android experience. It also favors Google as the Now launcher is mostly saturated with different Google services and that will reach other customers who don’t have Google’s hardware like the Nexus handsets and tablets.
The ZTE Blade Vec 4G packs a 5-inch 720p qHD display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, a Gig of RAM and 16 GB of storage with 2300 mAh battery. 13 Megapixel main camera and a 2 Megapixel front. ZTE have not disclosed any information pertaining to the upcoming smartphones from the company by they acknowledge that they are closely working with Google this time.
We’ve remember that earlier, Google is campaigning the Google Android Silver program in which the search giant is collaborating with different hardware companies to bring out Android devices with pure Google experience. this development certainly influenced ZTE latest move.
The ZTE Blade Vec 4G is scheduled to launch in Hong Kong on July 24 and as the device name implies, it supports global 4G wireless network.
