ZTE, one of the few Chinese companies that’s making waves on our shores has recently unveiled a budget friendly Phablet device with the new ZTE V5 MAX. The V5 MAX features a 5.5-inch HD display with 64-bit processor and 2 GB of RAM, We don’t know how they’re going to utilize the full potential of a 64-bit pro in a system with a standard 2 GB RAM, but given the technology has just arrived in the mobile space, it seem to prepare apps and developers per se to embrace 64-bit environment. Given the price of the device when it gets release and the app ecosystem of such environment, it might take another 6 months or so when developers will finally implement a full support for 64-bit mobile device.

The V5 MAX as we’ve mentioned earlier has a large 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720p and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. For users who would want to expand their storage space may do so as the V5 MAX supports micro-SD cards of up to 32 GB capacity. It will also come with a 13 Megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and a 5 Megapixel camera on the front which has become a standard in today’s front cameras on mobile devices. Users will also find a 3100 mAh battery inside the V5 MAX and it runs Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with ZTE’s proprietary Nubia UI on top which basically means that users can fully utilize every inch of juice from their battery while having a smooth and virtually lag-free experience.

The new Phablet was unveiled in China but as ZTE has opened its doors in the Philippines, the possibility for the new V5 MAX to reach the Philippines wouldn’t be far from it. In China, the ZTE V5 MAX is priced at CNY 999 or roughly Php 7,300+ here in the Philippines according to our sources.
