ZTE announced the new Blade S6, featuring 64-bit processor and Lollipop

ZTE announced their latest mid-range device with the new Blade S6 that’s targeted towards the young generation. Crafted in a minimalistic approach, the ZTE Blade S6 runs the latest Android operating system with ZTE’s custom UI on top and is equipped with mid-range specs.

To begin with, the Blade S6 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display. It comes with the latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 main processor and Adreno 305 graphic processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. There’s a 16 GB of on-board storage and is expandable via micro-SD with a maximum storage capacity of 32 GB.

Multimedia features includes a Sony IMX214 at 13-Megapixel with LED flash and is autofocus for the main camera on the back. It supports geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus and is able to capture 1080p videos. On the front is a 5-Megapixel shooter that captures high quality selfies and high resolution video calls.

The ZTE Blade S6 comes in dual SIM setup with both slots supporting nano-SIM cards, if features LTE connectivity together with GSM and HSPA wireless network support. Other connectivity features includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual band with support for Wi-Fi direct and Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0, GPS with GPS-assist and FM radio

The handset runs on a 2400 mAh Li-Ion battery and is non-removable. Android 5.0.1 Lollipop is running the show with ZTE’s MiFavor 3 UI on top. The MiFavor 3 UI comes with a number of features including ZTE’s SmartSense which uses gestures to perform a number of operations within the devices.

The new ZTE Blade S6 is expected to become available globally later next month with a price tag of $249.99 or roughly 11K+ before duties and taxes.
