Xiaomi Youpin launched Barcon non-contact thermometer

Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform launched a new Barcon non-contact infrared thermometer just in time when everyone needs one the most. It reads temperature in just a second with a highly sensitive German technology at play.

Like most other non-contact thermometers around, the Xiaomi Barcon works just by pointing the device on the subjects forehead at about 5 cm or less and with a press of a button, the device will read the temperature immediately using a built-in German Hyman thermopile high-precision sensor. This sensor measures the body temperature by identifying the the level of infrared radiation on the surface of the body.

The data from the sensor is sent to a built-in computing chip which accurately measures the temperature data using a sophisticated professional algorithms. It can measure from a range of 35 ℃ – 42 ℃ with error in less than 0.2 ℃ .

Besides body temperature, the Xiaomi Barcon non-contact Thermometer can also measure surface temperature accurately and comes with other functions includes vibration reminders, measuring distance notification to ensure proper measurements and it allows up to 32 groups of data storage which can be useful during temperature monitoring.

The display on the new Xiaomi Barcon is one that stands out as it uses a high-definition display with a white text on a black background as will be as user friendly as possible which suits best for the elderly’s.

The new Xiaomi Barcon Non-contact Thermometer will be available on February 26 for just 169 Yuan or for about $US24.
