Following the success of the new Mi Note flagship device from Xiaomi, the Chinese firm is coming out again with a simple but mouth-watering update of the flagship device with the Bamboo Edition of the Xiaomi Mi Note. All current specifications from the regular Mi Note that launched earlier this year will all be carried out with this latest edition of the handset, the only difference that you’re gonna get is the back cover that is made from all natural, all real bamboo.
The Mi Note Bamboo Edition still comes with its highly beautiful 5.7-inch IPS display and is still got the full-HD 1080p resolutions, The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 graphics processor and 3 GB of system RAM. It also comes with MIUI 6 onboard which is currently based on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). It also supports two SIM cards as well as 4G/LTE connectivity.
As far as camera features is concerned, the Mi Note is created without compromise as it got a 13 Megapixel shooter on the back which is by the way is coupled with a dual LED flash and is capable of taking 4K videos. On the front just right beside the earpiece is a 4 Megapixel camera that is capable of high-resolution video calls and is surely a welcome feature for users who looks to favor more on their selfies.
The phone’s new bamboo back cover is one of the lightest and slimmest part of the Mi Note which only measures 0.9 mm thick and shed-off 5 grams of its total weight when compared to the original Mi Note.
Xiaomi is already taking pre-orders for the Mi Note Bamboo Edition from Chinese customers (as expected) with a price tag of RMB 2,299 or approximately $370. The handset will be launching on March 24 with users to have their pre-ordered units within two weeks from the date of purchase.
