Xiaomi its tired rebranding its devices and the latest of these moves is the new Mi Note 10i 5G. The new device is originally designed for the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G where both devices are all the same piece by piece, the only difference is that the new Mi 10i 5G is produced in India as part of Xiaomi’s Make in India program.
The main advantage here is the 108 Megapixel ISOCELL imaging sensor developed by Samsung and this becomes the main camera on the back with Phase Detection AF and a bright f/1.8 Aperture lens. Along with the main camera is an 8 Megapixel with Ultra Wide lens, a 2 Megapixel macro shooter and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 16 Megapixel Selfie Shooter sitting inside the display notch.
The unit is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G with a built-in 5G modem and comes with either 6GB/8GB of system RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It does feature a hybrid SIM tray which allows users to expand its storage space with a microSDXC card.
On the front, the Mi 10i 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD Display and comes with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+ and certified with Widevine L1 for HD streaming. As we’ve mentioned the display notch earlier, there is one and is located and the top-center part of the display.
The device boots MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box and runs on 4,820mAh embedded battery that supports 33W fast charging. Despite the proliferation of no charger included in the box, thankfully, the Mi 10i 5G is not affected by such moves and comes with a charger brick in the box.
Feature-wise, the Mi 10i 5G has stereo speakers and a dedicated headphone jack for your audio listening needs. There’s also an IR blaster and its fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button.
There’s no word whether this variant of the Mi 10 series will be available in other countries but for India, the first sale of the device is set on January 8 at 12PM and will be available in these colors: Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black and Atlantic Blue colors.
