We are greatly anticipating for Xiaomi to announce their new handset which are expected to come out today. But as unexpected as earlier rumors are concerned, Xiaomi instead to sticking with the Redmi Note 2 line with rumors pointing to a possible Redmi Note 2 Pro, the Chinese OEM will be introducing its next generation Redmi Note handset with the upcoming Redmi Note 3.
This piece of confirmation was made by Xiaomi itself with the teaser image attached to this post which went out originally from the company’s official Weibo page. Another image below posted by no less than Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin on his Weibo account shows the handset in a metallic shell along with the fingerprint sensor on the back.
Despite these teasers, Xiaomi haven’t let out any data regarding the handset but as what we have so far, the handset will allegedly include a 1080p full-HD display at 5.5-inch and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 (Helio X10) CPU. Two configurations are expected for the handset with one having a 2GB/16GB and another one with 3GB/32GB RAM and storage combos. There will also be a 5 Megapixel front and 13 Megapixel back camera configuration and all will be housed in a metallic chassis. Running on the new Redmi Note 3 will be Android Lollipop with Xiaomi’s proprietary MIUI on top.
The handset will be revealed later today with more news about the handset coming up later tonight so keep posted for more.
