Like in one article we had, Xiaomi isn’t stopping its rebranding schemes as it launches the Redmi Note 9 5G in the global market as the new Redmi Note 9T 5G. As both devices are of the same everything has been shared with a few differences and of course it runs on MIUI 12 for Xiaomi’s global devices.
The device is built around a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ display and features a 90Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It has a punch hole at the top corner of the display that houses a 13 Megapixel Selfie camera.
On the back, there’s the circular triple camera module that accommodates the 48 Megapixel primary camera however, unlike the Chinese version of the handset which has a Ultra Wide camera, the global variant Redmi Note 9T 5G settles with two 2 Megapixel sensors for macro and depth sensors.
The Redmi Note 9T 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset based on 7nm process with a Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. There’s 4GB of RAM as standard and a choice between a 64GB UFS 2.0 storage or a 128GB on a faster UFS 2.1.
Feature-wise, the Redmi Note 9T 5G comes with stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint reader and offers splash-proof coating for added safety. It also includes an NFC, an InfraRed blaster, WI-FI 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, a dedicated headphone jack and USB-C interface.
The newly announced device comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Though it isn’t fast enough like those found on other devices but should be able to top it up in under two hours. Xiaomi also claims that the new battery system on the Redmi Note 9T 5G should go under regular use for three years without significant degradation.
The new smartphone comes in two colors: Daybreak Purple and Nightfall Black with a prices at €229 and €269 for 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB configurations respectively. There’s also an “early bird” promo which comes with a €20 discount within the special promo period.
