The Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max were already available in India for a month and Xiaomi is making it available globally with the addition of the vanilla version of the series.

Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global)

If you’d noticed that we specified “Global” for this version for the reason that the Redmi Note 9 Pro global variant is essentially the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max from india with a few notable difference only for its new Tropical Green color variant where the main camera on the back sits on a square module. It also worth to note that the back panel has a semi-two-tone finish where a quarter part of the top has glossy finish while the rest is matte.

The main camera module for the Redmi Note 9 Pro global variant has the same sensors as its Indian counterpart with a 64 Megapixel main sensor and joined by a 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide, 5 Megapixel macro shooter and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

On the front, the handset comes with a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ IPS Display and has a centrally located punch hole on top that houses the 16 Megapixel front camera.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and comes with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of expandable internal storage.

Redmi Note 9

This is a new variant for the series with a Full-HD+ 6.53-inch IPS LCD display and a punch hole where the handset’s 13 Megapixel Selfie shooter is.

On the back, we have a rectangular imaging module with quad-cameras. The main camera module has a 48 Megapixel primary sensor together with an 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide and 2 Megapixel macro camera and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

The Redmi Note 9 also debuts the MTK Helio G85, the latest mid-range chipset from MediaTek and together with the new processor is a 3GB or 4GB of RAM with either 64GB and 128GB of expandable storage respectively.

Both devices features a fingerprint scanner with the Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global) mounted on the side. With the Redmi Note 9 on the other hand, the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back just below the camera module.

These devices doesn’t support 5G connectivity but things should be just fine for these devices at 4G since the newer 5G isn’t even widely available. They come with a feature other nifty features though that we rarely see on devices these days and they are 3.5mm Jack and Infrared sensor.

What makes them a hit for uses besides the cameras is the battery as both comes with a hefty 5020mAh embedded battery with 30W fast charging for Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global) and 18W for the vanilla Redmi Note 9.

The new Redmi Note 9 will be available in these color options: Forest Green, Midnight Grey and Polar White while the Redmi Note 9 Pro (Global) has these color options: Forest Green, White and Grey colors.
