Xiaomi announced an updated version of Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650 and 16 Megapixel camera

Soon after Xiaomi unveiled the new Redmi 3, the Chinese tech firm sends a follow-up for the Redmi series of devices with the updated Redmi Note 3. The handset is one of the first from the Redmi series to incorporate a fingerprint scanner and a sleek full-metal body. It comes with a large capacity and high-performance battery that could live up to our expectations of a full day of service without getting caught with power cords.
The updated Redmi Note 3 however comes with improvements in some areas while maintaining the same functionality as the original Redmi Note 3. Features that remained as they are includes the large 5.5-inch full-HD display, users may choose with either 16GB/2GB storage/RAM option or go for more with 32GB/3GB storage/RAM variants. There would also a 4050 mAh high-capacity and high-performance battery pack so users could fully optimize their handsets while mobile.
Things that are new with the new Redmi Note 3 mostly under the hood improvements. The new handset features a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset with 6-core processors running at 1.8 GHz as part of the processor package, the handset will also include Adreno 510 graphics processor. Connectivity supports include an 8X LTE/4G+ with Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) feature. The handset supports all LTE networks in China, India and virtually all available 4G networks on any regions in the Globe making the new Redmi Note 3 a highly optimized world phone.
The handset also sport a new camera sensor with 16 Megapixel main camera that features an ultra-fast Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) at 0.1s and a dual LTE flash to assist in low-light conditions. The front stays the same with 5 Megapixel shooter that works better with Selfies and high-resolution video calls.

The handset will be available in China for RMB 999 ($151) for the 16 GB variant, no word is out yet for the 32 GB variant but it should be announce in a few moments as soon as the handset will become available. In India, Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi Note 3 Explorer challenge in the country where the first 100 of Mi fans will get the phone after they have complete 100 missions.
