We have 12 new recoveries from COVID-19, but the number of confirmed cases rises to 3,870
DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #025 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST) on April 08, 2020.
As of today, the Department of Health reported 106 new COVID-19 cases and that brings us to a total of 3,870 confirmed cases in the country.
From these numbers, there were 12 patients that newly recovered from the disease and that makes a total of 96 recoveries so far.
As for the number of deaths, we now have a total of 182 deaths after the health agency announced 5 new deaths today.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts strongly suggests that we wear face masks as much as possible.
