Google is expected to come out with two Nexus handsets this year from two different OEM’s. These two companies are rumored to be Huawei and LG. While these manufacturers may be two separate companies, under Google’s specifications, Nexus devices from these manufacturers would probably share the design and comparing it to the video that allegedly showed a Huawei Nexus prototype, you’ll notice that the video below which shows a render for LG Nexus somehow looks more like the alleged Huawei Nexus if not for the seemingly fingerprint sensor on the back.
As we can see here, the LG Nexus has a plastic back cover with beveled edge and is lined with a metal frame. On the back sits the main camera module along with a dual-tone LED flash and a mysterious component next to the LED flash which probably a laser auto focus. Just below the camera module is the alleged fingerprint sensor that Google is adding on its Nexus devices. A fingerprint scanner is also expected on the Huawei-made Nexus device, so for this year’s model, Google is finally giving a go for the biometric scanner. If you’d remember, the Motorola Nexus 6 was supposedly to include a fingerprint scanner but during its time, Google haven’t had native support for the technology on Android and in the final production of the handset, the Nexus 6 went off without the fingerprint scanner included.
Upfront the LG Nexus 5 2015 render comes with a front-firing dual speakers and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Given how Google kept silent about the announced product. Though it looks good on renders, the final product might look something else. Since it would be too early to say about the upcoming Nexus 5 2015, it would be better for us to take more lightly until Google make their official announcements soon.
