We are just three days away for Apple’s big event this coming Wednesday, where the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will be unwrap together with a slew of devices from Apple. But before the event kick off, rumors and speculations regarding the updates of the iPhone 6s have made the rounds lately which fuel the excitement of Apple fans.

The iPhone 6s might be one of the anticipated device to come out this year and is also one that is expected to bring the much awaited update in terms of hardware since the iPhone 4s hit the stage 4 years ago. The 5th generation has already added a fingerprint sensor while the 6th implemented improvements on the existing technologies that the iPhone has. the iPhone 6 is also a turning point for Apple as they finally made the iPhone larger and even larger with the Plus variant of the handset.

So on Wednesday, what we’re expected from Cupertino is an even more hardware updates on the most popular smartphone in the world. Beginning with its display, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus would retain their current screen sizes but adds a Force touch technology into the menu. Apple’s first implementation of the technology was with the Macbook trackpads and recently on a touch screen of the Apple Watch. With the upcoming iPhones however, Apple will be introducing a next-gen Force Touch technology with a three level of touch pressure sensor that can differentiate between a Tap, a Press and even Deeper Press. Apple may call it a 3D touch (according to the source) where the handset is intelligent enough to detect three of different pressures rather than the usual two.

The new 3D touch will make use of new interface tricks such as shortcut gestures and will also open doors to developers to implement a new level of user-interface interaction and application operations. This new 3D touch feature will likely to go together with the Taptic engine that was also rumored to be coming with the iPhone 6s adding new feedback to the user as they use the touchscreen display.

The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus is also expected to bring out a new camera package upgrading the long time standing 8 Megapixel camera on the iPhone 6 to a more pixel packed 12 Megapixel on the main camera. The front FaceTime camera is also said to gain a significant upgrade from its predecessor. Adding more to that is the rumored on-board chip update, new animated wallpapers and a Rose Gold color option. While previous generation of the Apple iPhone where the next variant gets slimmer on subsequent updates, in the case of the iPhone 6s the handset may eventually sidestep from going slimmer to practically increase the size of the handset by a millimeter. All of these are currently rumors and speculations which gives us ideas about how the handset is going to look like as soon as it gets out in the wild.

Expect more about the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus later this week with a mark on your calendar on September 9 for the Apple event to take place in San Francisco, California.
