Upcoming Galaxy S6 to be unveiled at Samsung UnPacked 2015 event on March 1st

Samsung is getting ready for this year’s first episode for the Galaxy UnPacked event which is set this coming 1st of March in Barcelona. Like in the previous years, this year’s UnPacked event happens right before the 2015 Mobile World Congress (MWC) kick starts in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung fans has anticipated the event in which the Korean tech giant will unveil its next flagship and that would be the new Galaxy S6 which have already been in discussions and in numerous rumors and leaks that started since last year. During its financial earnings report last week, Samsung said that its upcoming products would introduce “new materials, innovative design and differentiated features” which brings many analyst to speculate that the tech company is indeed moving from the usual plastic construction on its devices for years into the current trend of metallic materials on mobile devices.

In addition to new materials and how the concept image depicted on the Samsung official invite image seems to confirm early rumors that suggests the upcoming Galaxy S6 will sport a curve display or one of its variants would have it. It is also speculated that the curve display on the new flagship will have them on both sides while others suggest that it would look more likely as the Galaxy Note Edge.

Recent reports also suggest that Samsung would be ditching the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 due to heating issues during testing and with that, Samsung is reportedly be using its home-grown Exynos chip for the upcoming Galaxy S6 flagship. Though these and other numerous rumors are yet to be confirmed, but all questions about the new Galaxy S6 will be answered pretty soon as we only have 3 weeks and a half more before the highly anticipated event takes place.
