You won’t have to lose track on your things again with the new Samsung Galaxy SmartTags, a bluetooth enabled tracker that can be tracked from your smartphone.
The new SmartTags comes in two variants with the Galaxy SmartTags to be out by January 29 while a Galaxy SmartTag+ to come later. SmartTags uses Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy (LE) while the SmartTag+ uses UltraWide Band (UWB) and these trackers comes with up to 120 meters of range.
As these bluetooth trackers uses bluetooth technology, it needs power to work and to do that they take power from a standard CR2032 button battery cell rated at 220mAh. This should be enough for about 280 days before the battery needs to be replaced.
You can have these trackers from just about anything like your keys or bags to name a few. To track these tags, you just need to have the Samsung SmartThings app on your phone and find your tags based on its current or last location. You can even play a sound to help with finding the tag.
Apart from locating your things, these devices also one-touch IoT control and can turn on or turn off your paired smart devices like your Samsung TV’s and other Samsung IoT appliances at home.
