The Philippines ends the week with a total of 10,794 COVID-19 cases
DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #57 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST) on May 10, 2020.
Our new total number of cases on COVID-19 in the Philippines is now at 10,794 after the Department of Health announced 184 new cases in the country. The report today also includes 15 new deaths related to the outbreak bringing our death count to a total of 719.
We also have 82 new recoveries today which makes it a total of 1,924 confirmed and recorded recoveries so far.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts as well as the government urged everyone to wear a suitable and effective face mask as much as possible and when outside of our homes.
