Alright then, Without further ado let us welcome you to the new Google Nexus 6P. The device co-developed with Huawei is Google’s new high-end phablet device and is infused with features that reminds you price isn’t everything to get premium.
Like we already know about the Nexus 6P, the handset is the first Nexus device built in a full metal unibody construction with Google terms in design, the handset is one of the most stunning and feature-packed performance smartphone in the Nexus line to date with a highly optimized and latest version Android with version 6.0 Marshmallow.
The handset features a large 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a QHD resolution, this equates to 1440 x 2560 resolutions with a pixel density of 518 ppi. The front panel display is supported by a tough and scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Like the Nexus 6 last year and the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P features a front-firing stereo speakers with 3 strategically mounted microphones with noise cancellation features. It measures 159.3 X 77.8 X 7.3 mm and weighs around 178 grams.
One of the highlights on the new Nexus 6P is in the camera department with not just an update but an overall upgrade from its predecessor. Housed in a highly prominent camera module on the back is a 12.3 Megapixel main camera sensor with a wide f/2.0 aperture and 1.55 μm pixels size with a Broad-spectrum dual flash which ensures optimum image quality even in low-light conditions. It supports 4K video recording and slow-motion videos at 240 fps and a fast focus feature thanks to an IR Laser-assisted Auto Focus so you don’t miss a thing. With native support in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Nexus 6P together with the new Nexus 5x is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on Google’s new Nexus Imprint technology. The Huawei Nexus 6P is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset with a 64-bit Octa-core processor running at 2.0 GHz along with Adreno 430 Graphics processor. The processor is supported by an LDDR4 3 GB of RAM with an internal memory of either 32 GB, 64 GB and a top of the line variant having a whopping 128 GB of storage. Like all other Nexus smartphone devices, the Huawei Nexus 6P does not include a microSD slot for memory expansion. The handset is equipped with a large 3450 mAh non-removable battery with quick charge features through the new USB Type-C standards.
Supporting the latest in communication technologies, the Nexus 6P has 4G/LTE support in addition to 3G and 2G networks through a nano-SIM plus a number of standard connectivity options including a high-speed Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with GLONASS support, NFC and the new USB Type-C port and connector for faster data transfer speeds and quick charging capabilities.
The new Nexus 6P will be available around the Globe next month but selected key markets can order one today with the 32 GB base model for $500, $550 for the 64 GB model while the 128 GB version will cost $650. The metal unibody of the Nexus 6P will be available in a number of color options : plain Aluminum, Graphite, Frost and a Japan exclusive Gold color options.
