The new radical Motorola Razr is now official with 6.2-inch foldable display
The wait is over for the new generation Motorola Razr, We’ve been so excited to see what Motorola could offer with their iconic clamshell design, and with the advent of foldable display, it’s time for the form factor to get an upgrade.
The foldable screen on the new Motorola Razr is a 6.2-inch Flex pOLED display and features a Cinemavision 21:9 Aspect ratio with 2142 x 876 pixels resolutions. On the outside, there’s a small 2.7-inch OLED display that handles every basic devices operations from making and taking calls, set settings on or off, take Selfies or even talk to Google Assistant.
The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC that’s paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board storage. There’s no mention that it comes with expandable storage so you’ll be stuck with what Motorola has.
For imaging, the Motorola Razr comes with two cameras, One is a 16 Megapixel main shooter with Dual Pixel Autofocus and Laser AF. It comes with an f/1.7 Aperture lens and is supported by dual-LED flash. The Selfie camera as you’d call it sits on a notch of the main display and is a 5 Megapixel sensor. it’s got a f/2.0 Aperture lens with display flash.
The handset seems great so far but what’s disappointing though is the fact that the new Motorola Razr is only built with 2,510 mAh embedded battery. It does support a 15W TurboPower fast-charging though but i would have been great if it’s got a larger battery. And also, the handset seems to have get rid of the physical SIM and instead support eSIM for that matter.
Out of the box, the handset runs Android 9 Pie and unlike other devices in the market, it offers a stock Android experience.
The new Motorola Razr will be available in a single color variant only in Noir Black and is expected to retail at $1,500. That’s a little let for a lot isn’t not?
