The Galaxy S7 rendered in 3D on a video shows the handset in more details
We’re now regularly hearing new details of the upcoming Galaxy S7 from Samsung together with the latest 3D render of the alleged device. To make this renders more convincing, OnLeaks together with uSwitch now released a video which shows the alleged handset in detailed 360 degree angles and in more details.
From the video, we could see a Galaxy S7 which looks merely identical to the Galaxy S6 with a more rounded corners and comes with a 2.5D glass lamination both the front and back which with no doubt a Gorilla Glass in nature.
Despite numerous reports about the coming back of the microSD slot, the new 3D renders however missed the said feature as you’ll seen the video that the only visible ports and buttons in the unit is the typical power button and the SIM tray on the right while the volume rocker is housed on the left. At the bottom are the speaker grills, a 3.5mm audio port and a regular microUSB port. The top of the handset seems to have an IR Blaster which we have yet to confirm. Upfront, the Home button/fingerprint reader is a bit wider but narrower and the front facing camera now moves to the rightmost top corner.
The Galaxy S7 is expected to be available in two variants with a regular handset at 5.1-inch and a larger 6.0 Plus variant of a flagship. In the video, the handset in the video is the Galaxy S7 Plus which measures at 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82mm. The camera hump on the back adds another 1.23 mm to the thickness of the handset. While Samsung kept its lid tightly closed at the moment, some rumors suggests that the handset could be unveiled on the 21st of February just a week before MWC 2016 kicks off.
