The Huawei Mate 10 is one of the most anticipated handset this quarter with all other smartphone manufacturers already unveiled and launched their products most notably their second flagship device of the year. Rumors and leaks led the Mate 10 on top of the rumor mill with a few new render pop out every now and then.
Huawei is said to launch not just one but at least four variants of the Mate 10. The latest (thanks to @evleaks) and the most popular is that Mate 10 Pro and the leaks continue show and solidify the handset’s design, but what’s different from those that came in previously is that the newest render showed the handset with its lock screen turned on.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro packs a large 5.99-inch display on a 1440 x 2880 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Thin bezels are all over the place and with the lack of a home button, Huawei moved the fingerprint sensor on the back with all the display dominating the front. Under the hood, the Mate 10 Pro is said to be powered by no other than the Kirin 970 chip with AI built-in. It will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and either a 64GB of 128GB of internal storage.
Imaging is one of the best assets of the recent generation Mate series and the Mate 10 Pro will continue being one of them. At the back will be a dual camera lens co-engineered with Leica. The pair composed of a 12 Megapixel sensor and a 20 Megapixel sensor. OIS will be present but we are yet to see whether both sensor are equipped with the feature or only one of them has one. On the front will be a 8 Megapixel shooter which will be the prime for Selfies and video calls.
The Mate 10 Pro will be driven by the latest EMUI from Huawei and will be the first to run the latest Android 8.0 (Oreo). It comes with a large 4000 mAh battery so power shortages won’t be a primary concern here.
Huawei’s upcoming flagship phablet will be officially unveiled on October 16 and that seems pretty obvious from the date showed by the render above. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is said to be available in four variants namely: Mate 10 Lite, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Mate 10 Porsche Edition.
