Announced earlier this year, the new Samsung GALAXY J1 is now available for purchase here in the Philippines. It’s one of the most affordable smartphone from the Korean tech giant for the entry-level market. But before the new device became available locally, the GALAXY J1 was already available in India and Malaysia and recently in some parts of Europe .
The Samsung GALAXY J1 is equipped with the modest specs that Samsung could think of now with the assumption that the handset would cater those not really technologically savvy people yet prefers the convenience and functions of a smartphone.
It features a 4.3-inch WVGA display and is powered by a Dual-core processor and 512 MB of system RAM and 4 GB of storage space which is expandable by the way with a microSD card. Despite being a low-end handset, the GALAXY J1 still manages to contain a decently performing cameras with 5 Megapixel sensor on the back and a 2 Megapixel on the front.
Packed with 3G/HSPA+ wireless connectivity along with other standard connectivity features which should play along with everyone’s needs. There’s 1850 mAh standard battery pack and Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top. If you want a device that’s good for everyday communication and less concerned with features then the GALAXY J1 would fit just right for you.
Samsung Mobile Philippines priced the new Samsung GALAXY J1 at Php 5,490.00 or for just $123. The handset is now available in all Samsung concept stores and retail stores nationwide.
