Starmobile Turbo now official, standard retail price at 6,990 Php

Starmobile finally made the budget friendly Android smartphone device with the new Turbo. The Starmobile Turbo if anyone could remember was leaked late last week and it seem that the official specs is as close as the one we have earlier. Indeed, this budget friendly device comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box in a 5-inch display package for Php 6,990. The price though is a thousand more from what we thought earlier but still it falls into the budget phone category as they offer mid-range specs at a lower cost.

The new Starmobile Turbo boosts a 5-inch IPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor with Mali 400MP2 graphics processor and 1 GB of RAM. It starts with a basic 4 GB internal storage which can be extended with a microSD card of up to 32 GB in capacity.

For the imaging needs, the new Turbo device comes equipped with 12 Megapixel AF main camera with Back Side Illuminated (BSI) sensor and a LED flash. On the front, it comes with a 5 Megapixel camera which has become quite common these days and not only that, the front camera features a BSI sensor as well.

For browsing and communication the new Starmobile Turbo supports 3G and HSPA+ connectivity with Dual SIM and dual Standby modes, other than that, the device also comes with standard connectivity features that includes: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB  with OTG support and wireless display output with Miracast.

The device comes with a 2000 mAh battery that should keep its users busy the rest of the day. Users who find the Starmobile Turbo’s included battery not sufficient for being a daily driver may need not to worry as the unit comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Android 4.4 has significantly improved its power management and based on user reviews, units with Android 4.4 onboard consumes less battery usage when compared to units with previous versions of Operating System installed.
