Love taking photos with your mobile phone but find the flash is inadequate for your needs? Well, it looks like it’s time to start looking for a new one. Philippine local phone brand Starmobile might just have something that could help you with, the company just launched their new Starmobile UP Neo which unlike any smartphone device in the market, the UP Neo not only comes with one or two LED flash but three.
The 3-LED flash setup is paired to the 13 Megapixel camera on the back with Backside Illumination and Auto Focus features while the front camera has a 5 Megapixel sensor but unfortunately missed the auto focus feature.
Getting down the feature set, the Starmobile Up Neo comes with a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution and 277 ppi pixel density. The handset is powered by a Octa-core MediaTek MT6592M chipset running at 1.4 GHz, there’s a Mali-450MP4 to handle graphics and 1 GB of RAM. Starmobile also put itself up in terms of built-in storage space with the Up Neo as it comes with a bit generous 16 GB of storage for a locally branded handset. As for users that requires more storage than the handset offers then there is a microSD slot that will do the trick.
In terms of connectivity, the UP Neo supports dual SIM with dual standby and 3G/HSPA+ connection. It also comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio and USB 2.0 via microUSB as standard connectivity options.
Starmobile seems to favor KitKat over Lollipop as they equipped the new UP Neo with Android 4.4 (KitKat) despite the increasing popularity and the notable advantage of Android 5.0. But still the handset is fitted quite well with the operating system and its highly optimize hardware for the operating system that handles it.
If you’ve been plagued by low battery packs on your handset, Starmobile is ending that frustrations as the new UP Neo now includes a bigger battery pack on its sleeves with 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery.
