Sony Xperia E4g: Sony’s entry level handset with 4G-LTE connection and Quad-core CPU

If you think getting a Sony smartphone is always synonymous with expensive things then take a look at the new Sony Xperia E4g, a smaller version of the recently announced Xperia E4. It’s Sony ‘s truly affordable entry-level handset with added 4G LTE support, NFC and an estimated 2 days life support through its large 2300 mAh battery on board.

To start with, the new Xperia E4g features a not too small 4.7-inch IPS display with 234 ppi pixel density with scratch resistant glass. Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek chip with model MT6732 running at 1.5 GHz in four cores. Along with it is 1 GB of RAM plus 8 GB of expandable storage with micro-SD card of up to 32 GB in capacity, this gives users a total 40 GB of space available for all multimedia files, documents, apps and settings.

For mobile photography enthusiasts, the Sony Xperia E4g comes with 5 Megapixel Sony camera sensor on the back and a dedicated 2 Megapixel camera on the front for high-resolution video calls and high-quality selfies. With the two cameras in place, the handset also comes with a dedicated camera software with auto scene recognition that automatically set all appropriate settings for up to 52 different scenarios for a perfect image. Pair that with the included NFC connectivity feature to send and share captured photos and videos with a compatible handset or devices in just one touch.

With the new Xperia E4g, users wills enjoy fast internet connection through fast and efficient 4G LTE connectivity. Whenever 4G connections isn’t possible, the handset can seamlessly switch over to a more popular 3G/HSPA+ connection or even the slower but still manageable 2G/GPRS data connections. In addition to the mentioned wireless network connectivity features, the Xperia E4g also comes with a standard support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GPS-assist and Near Field Communication (NFC).

As we have already mentioned, the new Xperia E4g comes will a large 2300 mAh battery with an estimated battery life of up to 2 days with regular use. Despite its capabilities, the handset will be driven by Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) and will come with Sony’s exclusive set of software to get the handset ready to use at first boot.

Measuring at 133 x 71 x 10.8 mm, the handset isn’t that small in the hands and is not event thick enough to grab, it weighs at 135 grams and will be available in either Black or White. The Sony Xperia E4g is expected to launch this April with an estimated price of €129.00 or roughly 6,500.00 Php when it becomes available in the Philippines.
