SKK Mobile announces new Platinum series, bringing high-end specs to the mid-range market

SKK mobile announces their latest Platinum series of devices, the company distributes affordable devices in the country and the new Platinum series will surely bring in more choices for the Filipino consumers who wishes to own a highly specs devices without emptying their wallets. SKK’s Platinum series is pioneered by two upcoming models at the Platinum advance and Platinum lite. Both devices almost comes with a large 5.5-inch IPS display and the same chassis. Their difference boils down to what come inside with either devices. The Platinum advance for obvious reasons houses a high performance components while the Platinum lite on the other hand comes in a modest package.

The new SKK Platinum advance features an Octa-core processor from MediaTek with Mali 450-MP graphics and 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage so user can enjoy every inch of the device and not only that, users who wants to extend their storage space may add of up to 64 GB microSD card. It is also equipped with 13 Megapixel primary camera with flash and a high-resolution 5 Megapixel camera on the front. For an optimum communication experience, the Platinum advance comes in Dual-SIM and Dual-Standby setup on HSPA+ and 3G networks, it also comes with a number of connectivity features that really keeps the user connected.

Together with the new Platinum advance, SKK also announced the Platinum lite, a toned down version of the two devices in the series. On the outside, the Platinum lite looks exactly the same as its high-end sibling, in fact both Platinum advance and lite variants comes with the same 5.5-inch IPS display and at the same resolutions. To really understand their differences one should look at the specs, Platinum lite comes with a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor and a Mali-400 MP graphics, a smaller 8 GB internal storage and a microSD card support up to 64 GB. The camera also has been downgraded for the lite variant at 8 Megapixel but follows the same 5 Megapixel on the front everything else are the same with the Platinum advance and the Platinum lite having those mentioned specs toned down means a lighter price too.

The new  SKK Platinum series comes with the latest Android 4.4 (KitKat) and enough battery at 2800 mAh capacity for daily use. The new series is also one of the few devices in the market that brings high-end specs on a mid-range price point so users can grab a high-spec devices that they could actually afford. The Platinum advance goes for Php 8,999.00 which is kind of affordable when compared to other devices with the same specs. But if budget doesn’t permits, users can opt for the Php 5,999.00 Platinum lite which still features high performance specs with minor understatement in between. Both devices will be available sometime in Q4 this year and should be available on our favorite mobile and gadget stores for the holiday season.
