The wait is over for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners as Samsung has finally rolled out the much awaited Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for these devices. This is a major update for the flagship series with version : SM-G955XXU1CRAP is released in Germany but that can also be said in Poland, India and France where users are now reporting to have received and installed the update as well.

The update brings a lot of new features built-in Android 8.0 plus a the new Samsung Experience 9.0 UI is included in the update and of course the latest February Android security patch. One neat feature that we see from here is obviously with the new screenshot. From the looks of it, it can now take screenshots from the whole page of the app which is quite useful and is pretty much convenient, there are a lot of improvements in the core apps and Bixby is now even more useful than ever.

As this is a worldwide release, expect them to hit devices in a next few hours to days or so as they are released in batches and by regions. First that will receive the update are the beta testers and then rolling out to users.
