Samsung Philippines announces the Galaxy Trend Lite specs, price and availability

Samsung announces yet another budget smartphone device for the emerging market with the new Galaxy Trend Lite. The handset is primarily targeted to budget conscious customers that requires basic phone functionality with smartphone capabilities in a compact and not to hefty device.

Operating in a 4-inch display, the Galaxy Trend Lite features a WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 resolution and is managed by Android 4.1.2 JellyBean. Underneath, it’s comes with a single core processor running at 1.0 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. There is a 4 GB of built-in storage to start with, additional memory with microSD card is also supported if users requires more storage space than what it is provided with up to 64 GB of memory.

As this basic touchscreen device is a smartphone, the camera shouldn’t be missed and the Galaxy Trend Lite features 1 main camera on the back with a standard 3 Megapixel camera module. Please be reminded though that this device does not feature a front facing camera since as what we have said earlier this is a device with basic phone functionality.

It supports 3G and 2G wireless data connection with Dual SIM capabilities. Other connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS + GLONASS, USB 2.0 with microUSB for data transfer and charging. So basically users can do web browsing with the device with standard 3G connection or may connect to a Wi-Fi network for more faster data connection.

The Galaxy Trend Lite is powered by a standard 1500 mAh removable battery. Users who wish to use the device for more than just call and text should also bring with them their charger or better yet a spare battery.

The Galaxy Trend Lite is now available at Samsung mobile stores and retailers nationwide with a price starting at 5,990.00 which includes the store and manufacturers Warranty and also duties and taxes.
