Samsung has kept the Galaxy A series updated with new features every year. The Galaxy A series basically are Samsung’s line of devices for the mid-range market and as it became the tradition, the series always had adopted some of the premium features from the Galaxy S with every iteration. When the premium flagship had metal body and water resistance, these features were then ported into the Galaxy A series then later Always On display came in as well.

Rumor has it that Samsung will once again deliver new specs to the Galaxy A series with one being the famous Infinity display on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8. 2017 is the year of the bezel less screen with different manufacturers trying to implement one on their own, but without a doubt, Samsung’s approach seems to work out well to users and when it goes down to the mid-range market, it won’t be long that this feature will become a norm for most Samsung devices and maybe even to the entry-level market.
If this rumor would turn out to be true, Samsung may still have to stick with a full-HD resolution with earlier leaks pointing to a 1080 x 1920 display and if it really does equipped with Infinity display, we’re expecting to see an 18.5:9 aspect ratio as well.
