Samsung Galaxy S6 to feature a 20 Megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization
The next Samsung UNPacked event is undoubtedly getting closer as we move closer to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 for the launching and demos of the world’s latest devices. And like the previous years, Samsung traditionally sets its UNPacked event in a timely fashion with MWC with the launched of the company’s flagship device. This year will be the year of the anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 which have been into the rumor mills lately.
One of the latest rumors suggests that Samsung is about to equipped the Galaxy S6 with a 20-Megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) according from an insider at Samsung Electro-Mechanics (SEM) subsidiary. This will be The first Galaxy S series to be equipped with an OIS from which users have long since. This would vastly improved the flagship’s shooting capabilities along with other image-centric features that Samsung has incorporated to its devices of today.
In addition to that, Samsung Electro-Mechanics have reported increased in sales and production following the demand of OIS and non-OIS equipped camera modules used for phones and tablet devices with a large and significant margins associated with the high-end 20-Megapixel sensor that is said to be coming with Samsung’s upcoming flagship the Galaxy S6.
