Earlier, Android 5 Lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe had been shown off. Today, our source SamMobile shows an early build of Android 5.0 Lollipop for the recently released Galaxy Note 4. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat since it was released before Android 5.0 Lollipop went official.
Upon assessment, Android 5 Lollipop early build for the Galaxy Note 4 looks promising with a few new visual modifications on apps and the UI itself which follows some of Google’s Material Design. The Notification area is now semi-translucent but still the whole interface bares the entirety of the classic TouchWiz UI. This could be understandably because the firmware is at its early stage but given the progress of other Android 5.0 build for other Galaxy devices, Samsung will probably make small adaptation of the UI that Google have implemented on the new OS while maintaining the classic look and feel of the company’s proprietary TouchWiz Interface.
Though we already have and early glimpse of the firmware, it’s still unclear as to when will Samsung release the update, users of the Galaxy Note 4 has been eagerly awaiting for the update to be available for the latest device which is now putting Samsung software team on pressure. And as always, it wouldn’t be wise to expect a vanilla experience of Android 5.0 on Samsung devices, so be ready to meet a slightly modified Touchwiz UI instead as all improvements on the OS can only be found underneath.
