Samsung brought its dual camera setup to its entry-level lineup with the new Galaxy J7+ which debut in Thailand recently. Now, several local sources suggest that Samsung will bring this variant of the Galaxy J7 into the Philippines in the next few weeks.
The Galaxy J7+ comes with most of the specs from the Galaxy J7 Pro with differences pertaining to the main camera in which the Galaxy J7+ has two imaging sensors at the back, a 16 Megapixel shooter on the front. It also comes with 4GB of RAM but a little smaller battery pack at 3000 mAh compared to the Galaxy J7 Pro.
When it comes to pricing, expect the Galaxy J7+ to have a heftier price tag. In Thailand the handset is priced at THB12,990 which translates at around 20.1K Php and in Malaysia at around RM1,599 or roughly 19.4K Php. Somewhere between these price ranges the Galaxy J7+ would see fit.
Given that the Galaxy J series is designed for the budget conscious, a price tag that draws closer to the 20K mark seems a little too pricey for such a device which is the realm of Samsung’s mid-range devices the Galaxy A series. Despite the odd pricing, industry insiders predicts that Samsung would settle for something below the 20K mark for the handset in the Philippines.
The Galaxy J7+ is said to go on sale sometime next month, so this adds to the plethora of devices to choose from for the holidays.
