Samsung Galaxy A (2016) will most likely receive a Nougat upgrade, report confirms

If you’re one of those wielding a Samsung Galaxy A (2016) series device, you’ll be delighted to know that at least in the nearest future Samsung will release Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade to these phones. The information was reported recently and it seems to be legit as our sources suggests. Do note however that Samsung haven’t released any Nougat related upgrade from any of its current line-up which now comes to suggests that though the upgrade would come more likely, what’s undetermined as of the moment is when.

Some speculation have pointed out to as early as the first quarter of 2017. That said, it would be more likely that Samsung would release the upgrade first to its existing flagship devices before touching other series for that matter. The first generation of the Galaxy A series are phones in Samsung’s arsenal which received two major updates, as it’s most certain that the 2016 devices in the series will follow through as well.

The Galaxy A series of devices is a big collection of devices catering different markets. The also fill-in the gaps between the high-end and mid-end series which allowed Samsung to touch both waters in the same series of devices. For the 2016 variants these are the Galaxy A series devices that will most certainly receive the Nougat update/upgrade: Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A9 and the Galaxy A9 Pro.

Do note also that recently, Samsung had reopened its registration for beta testers for Nougat development but currently the development revolves primarily on the Galaxy S7 flagship and its variants. US users will be able to register themselves over the weekend and hopefully will reach other regions as well.

Take note also that, these info are pretty based on rumors so take this lightly with a grain of salt until Samsung further provide details about Samsung’s Android 7.0 deployments roadmap.
