We’ve already know that the new Galaxy Note5 won’t be shipping with microSD slot in its feature set, but even before the handset was made official, rumors had been circulating for quite a while which implies that the dual SIM variant of the handset would be coming with a microSD slot with them through a multipurpose SIM tray. As Samsung starts to accept pre-orders of the handset including its dual SIM variant, we can now debunk earlier speculations of such possibilities.
Like the image shown above, the Galaxy Note5’s SIM port can be access at the top of the device, in the case of the dual SIM variant, pulling out the SIM tray would reveal two SIM slots but unlike what once thought earlier, the SIM tray don’t fit any microSD cards in them, thus waving the possibilities extending the handset’s storage space which everyone have wished for.
Besides confirming the absence of a microSD slot, the set of images shows other things that the Samsung Galaxy Note5 has. There’s the set of ports below the handset where the speaker, microUSB 2.0 port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Similar to the past versions of the handset, the S Pen can also be found on the bottom but this time, removing the stylus is so much easier than before by just clicking on the Pen and it should shot out half-way for you to grab and remove the stylus from its compartment.
From here on, it seems like Samsung is completely abandoning simple yet useful features on the new flagships. Having the inability to expand the storage of a highly capable handset such as the Galaxy Note5, users may have to embrance the changes that Samsung is making while making the right choice of having either a 32 GB or a 64 GB of storage before getting out your money or card from your wallet.
