Samsung considers shipping future devices without a charger

Samsung may have laughed Apple for not including a power brick inside the box for every iPhone 12 (At least in most parts of the world) but it turns out that the Korean tech giant might follow that idea with the next version of its popular flagship device in 2021.

That is if we believe what Industry insiders are trying to circulate in South Korea through ChosunBiz who allegedly spill the word that Samsung is considering not to include a charger in the box for the Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S30 or whatever Samsung would call it. However, the said idea is still pending and Samsung has yet to decide what’s best for its customers.

The Galaxy S series has always come with accessories inside the box for every iteration of the series and having no charger and other accessories included will indeed result into a smaller packaging, thus helping the environment with lessen waste.

The question is, does this move really mean to help the environment? Maybe.. but perhaps there’s more of a marketing gimmick to it, with accessories such as a bundled headset or a charger now becoming a separate item that one may need to purchase if needed.

More about this rumor and other developments about the next Galaxy S device in the next few instances…
