Rumors suggests that Samsung will settle for a single main camera on its upcoming Galaxy S8 despite early reports

The Galaxy S8 was said to take a major turnover in the flagship’s camera hardware when the upcoming 2017 flagship was rumored to join the bandwagon of dual-camera module race for next years’s variant of the Galaxy S series. The early reports came in as early at the start of the 3rd quarter this year and as info starts to build up. A new leakster from China revealed that Samsung had decided over its plans for an evolutionary makeover for its Galaxy S8 device to a halt.
The ideas for a dual-lens module came when a number of devices mostly from China has adopted the twin modules schemes and was even more profound when Apple decided to release the larger iPhone 7 Plus with a dual camera module on the back. But now, it seems that the South Korean tech giant has opted to a more traditional approached on equipping the highly Galaxy S8 with a single camera sensor. According to the leakster: Samsung had “fell through” from its plans of building the 2017 flagship with two camera sensors on the back and decided instead on using the usual single sensor.
While there will no reasons given behind Samsung’s decision, some have speculated that it might have been with the result of extensive research and testing in which at the most, Samsung felt not so compelled with jumping into the dual camera race. But that doesn’t mean that we’ll never be able to see a Samsung device with such feature in the future, it’s just that Samsung might just have to need a longer time to refine its technology before customers can grab their hands on it.
In line to that, Samsung devices are not equipped with autofocus features on its front-facing camera, that might just happen when the Galaxy S8 comes and it will be a Selfie shooter with more refined features this time. A moved that might just be able to compete with Chinese mobile phone markers wherein the front facing cameras are gives much of an importance as with the main camera.
While this info is worth noting, most things as of the moment were based on speculation and rumors, which might not be in the final product that will be unveiling next year. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 in time for the 2017 MWC event this coming February.
