The Realme Narzo series are one of the best budget friendly devices in the market that’s great for gaming and casual use and the company is moving forward in 2021 with the new Narzo 30 series.

Realme unveiled two new devices in the series with the Narzo 30 Pro a 5G phone and the Narzo 30A having 4G connectivity

Narzo 30 Pro 5G

As the name implies, the Pro version of the series comes with pro-rated specs including 5G connectivity that comes built into the handsets chipset – a MediaTek Dimensity 800U based on 7nm process. It comes with a Mali-G57 MC3 GPU 6GB/64GB or 8GB/128GB of RAM and storage configuration options and 5G Dual SIM capability.

The display on this device is a 6.5-inch 1080p+ and comes with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, what this does is that it automatically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates depending on the content and apps running. The Sampling rate on this one is also high at 180Hz.

For imaging, the Narzo 30 Pro 5G includes a triple camera sensor on the back with a 48 Megapixel main camera having a bright f/1.8 Aperture lens. This is supported by an 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide camera and a dedicated macro camera. On the front, there’s a single 16 Megapixel Selfie camera capable of high resolution photos and videos.

Its imaging features includes a Super Nightscape mode for low light imaging, 4K video recording at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. There’s also Cinmera Mode and supports UIS digital image stabilization for video recording.

The battery on the new Narzo Pro 5G is rated at 5,000mAh and supports 30W Dart Charge fast charging as well as a 15W USB Power Delivery.

What’s unusual though is the fact that it still runs on Android 10 at first boot but Realme has the new Realme UI 2.0 underway which will upgrade the handset to Android 11 pretty soon.

The new Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G comes in Black Silver and Sword Black color options with prices starting at INR 16,999 or roughly around $235 for its 6GB/64GB variant. the beefier 8GB/128GB version on the other hand cost INR 19,999 and that’s also around $275 and will be available at Realme stores, Flipkart and other retail stores in India starting March 4th.

Narzo 30A

If looking for a more budget oriented handset with the latest hardware around, you won’t go wrong with the new Narzo 30A. However, its price point has some drawbacks. For instance, the display here is of a lower resolution at 720p+ actually and the refresh rate is peg at only 60Hz.

But the main thing with the Narzo 30A is the battery as it comes with a hefty 6000mAh that promises more time spent on the display with up to 27 hours of YouTube video playback in a single charge or up to 10 hours of gaming. The battery though only supports 18W fast charging but it features reverse charging, should you need a quick charge your other devices.

With bigger battery, Realme positioned the new Narzo 30A as a sort of a gaming phone on a budget and with that being said, the Narzo 30A is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 with a Mali-G52 GPU paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage.

As for the cameras, the Narzo 30A comes with a basic 13 Megapixel primary camera backed by a monochrome depth sensor. On the front, there’s a single 8 Megapixel Selfie shooter sitting inside a mini-waterdrop notch.

Similar with the Narzo 30 Pro 5G, the 30A variant also boots Android 10 out of the box and is set to be upgraded to Android 11 when Realme UI 2.0 becomes available.

The new Narzo 30A will be available in Laser Black and Laser Blue color schemes. For pricing, the 3GB/32GB version is available for just INR 8,999 ($125) while the 4GB/64GB variant is at INR 9,999 ($140). The handset will be launch in the Indian market on March 5 and available in various channels as the Narzo 30 Pro 5G.
