Philippe Starck just revealed a concept video of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
When Xiaomi introduced the Mi Mix into the scene, mobile users are in awe with what Xiaomi introduced in the market. A year has passed and it’s time for the Chinese manufacturer to make a follow-up. While Xiaomi isn’t so secretive about the next iteration in the market. The handset’s design still is in the loop of concept.
The latest concept design for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 may probably be what customer will get when it finally get into the market. It’s really hard to form any skepticism this time as the concept itself came from Philippe Stark who is responsible for the design of the original Mi Mix with a small caption that reads “Even Less” which signifies that the handset will have an even less bezels and more of screen real estate.
Like the first Mi Mix, the concept design retains the lower bezel of the handset and is much thinner this time but is still able to house the front facing camera.
Now about the specs, none from Xiaomi is talking about it but rumors suggests that the Mi Mix 2 will have a 6.4-inch display with 2560 x 1440 resolutions. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled and will be available in two configurations. One comes with 4GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and the other one with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There was no mention of memory expansion which came to suggest that it retains what the Mi Mix had.
Getting into the trend in mobile photography, the Mi Mix 2 will sport a dual sensor main camera with both sensor being 16 Megapixels while a 13 Megapixel camera sits happily on the front.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to run Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box on a beefy 4500mAh embedded battery. More about this handset as stories unfold, so stay tuned…
