Oppo is preparing a huge upgrade for its “F series” of devices and they are about to come out soon. Rumors and speculations had been around for sometime already suggesting that Oppo will be toning down its current implementation of the display notch and that’s confirmed straight from Oppo itself.
The Chinese company teased the next F series with an official poster on its Malaysian twitter page and with the F9 Pro on its official website in India. This came to suggest that we’ll be getting two variants of the same model, one being the regular F9 and another one as the F9 Pro. Like the F7, the F9 includes does include a notch however this time it’s a lot smaller with a triangular slit at the top center portion, something like that from the Essential PH-1 or the new Sharp devices.
There are a lot going on with the upcoming F9, first the display which by the way is one to be noticed at first glance having the smaller notch, at the back the F9 Pro is finally going with the dual-camera race. And the back panel? well, it’s something else as it features something like that of the twilight color scheme from Huawei which shows a multiple number of colors depending on the lighting and angle.
With the F9 series, Oppo also confirmed that the handset will support Super VOOC changing a feature that previously are only found on Oppo’s high-end and mid-tier devices and lately on the F3 devices which enabled super charging capabilities, seeing it coming back on the F9 is something of a relief. A 5 minute charge should be able to give users with up to 2 hours of talk time and it will be a standard feature on the upcoming F9 series handsets.
