Smartphones now has an unprecedented pace of evolution making our sci-fi dream device a reality. It innovates and evolves with new technological features making each iteration and version of devices unique.
One of which is the latest innovation in displays which curves towards the sides, some manufacturers calls it edge or dual edge for dual curve screens or others would just call it curved display.
Some manufacturers like Oppo and its sister companies would like to call this innovation as waterfall display. With the number or research and developments down the pipe, Oppo figured out how to just to curved the display from side to side but also both the top and bottom as well.
With such innovations in display technology, this would make no room for other elements for the front of future smartphone devices but Oppo is also working to augment that with under-display sensors with one being the under-display fingerprint scanners already on consumer devices.
We are also looking forward with under-display camera technology which Oppo had already teased during MWC 2019.
