For OnePlus owners, Last year’s flagship the OnePlus 2 isn’t forgotten that before the year ends, OnePlus pushed an update to the OnePlus 2 that brings a number of new features and a bag of fixes and enhancements.

Despite all the Nougat craze that is to be expected from most manufacturers and though OnePlus has a future update for its current flagship the OnePlus 3T to Nougat, The OnePlus 2 as of this time will have to hold on with Android Marshmallow for the company’s own OxygenOS but has to bump the version number to 3.5.5.

The latest update has been released over-the-air (OTA) in phases and will eventually reach users in a few days time depending on the user’s location.

The update as important as it seems now includes VoLTE functionality for some carriers, There’s the App lock feature that has been requested by many and then Battery Saving mode, Gaming Mode and an Additional Options for the Alert slider. For enhancements, the new update carries a redesigned Volume adjustment bar, updated OxygenOS UI, UI improvements on the Clock App and shelf optimizations.

for everything else, the new OxygenOS 3.5.5 brought the December Security patch for Android OS, an increase in system stability and general bug fixes all throughout the system.

Please be reminded though that before applying the update, you should backup your system as the update will clear all settings on the phone will be reset back to default. Just to make sure that everything is kept intact, you might have to do the necessary backup procedure.
