OnePlus always made their smartphone a flagship killer in every iteration. But with the new OnePlus 7, things are going to change. Since every manufacturer seemed to put out at least two variants of their flagship devices at launch. OnePlus is also trying to adopt this strategy to combat every versions of the competition there is.
The new OnePlus 7 turned every OnePlus 6T shortcomings an easy one to forget as it becomes a direct successor of the device. It carries the same design actually with a few and minor changes here and there.
The display on the new OnePlus 7 is a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED screen with the same Full-HD+ aspect ratio as its predecessor. There’s a notch on top as well that houses its front-facing camera.
Speaking of cameras, the new OnePlus 7 houses a 16 Megapixel Selfie camera on front and can record full-HD videos stabled by EIS. On the back we have a dual camera module with a 48 Megapixel primary sensor with OIS and EIS and PDAF and a bright f/1.7 Aperture lens together with a 5 Megapixel depth sensor.
The main camera module supports 4K video recording and slow-motion 1080p videos at 240fps. If you want a even epic slow-mo, you have video recording in 480fps but in 720p resolution. Then it supports HDR+ and Super Resolution modes under OnePlus UltraShot feature.
The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and comes in two flavors: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB of RAM and storage combinations.
It features stereo speakers tuned by Dolby ATMOS for better audio quality. and a slightly better and improved on-screen fingerprint reader.
The new handset retains OnePlus 6T’s 3700mAh embedded battery and supports 20W fast charging.
OnePlus 7 will be available in China and India and Europe in Black and a China and India exclusive Red variant. Prices for the new OnePlus 7 starts at €549 for the 6GB/128GB variant while the 8GB/256GB version should cost €599.
