Nothing Unveils the CMF Phone 2 Pro: A Bold Blend of Style, Performance, and Modularity

Nothing is gaining a lot of momentum in the market with its unique styling and affordable devices. Recently, the company launched its new Nothing Phone series, and this time, their CMF line has something new to showcase.

Meet the New CMF Phone 2 Pro

A mix of modular functionality and aesthetics makes the new phone significant. It didn’t just get the “Pro” moniker for no reason, and we’ll tell you more about that below:

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is built around its large 6.77-inch display, offering 1080p resolution and up to a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The display is an upgrade over its predecessor, featuring 10-bit color with HDR10+ support, up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Panda Glass.

The camera is one of the key aspects of the new CMF Phone 2 Pro. Despite its market category, Nothing has managed to equip the device with an impressive set of camera hardware. Starting with its 50MP main sensor with a large 1/1.57″ sensor size, the main camera is joined by a 50MP telephoto shooter with a 2x magnification lens and digital zoom up to 20x. There’s also an additional 8MP camera with an ultra-wide lens for its intended purpose. On the front, there’s a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chip. In case you didn’t know or have forgotten, this chip powered the first CMF Phone, but Nothing has made it faster with up to a 10% boost in CPU performance and a 5% faster GPU.

For its RAM, the CMF Phone 2 Pro has 8GB of RAM, with storage options of 128GB or 256GB. It also sports a microSD slot for storage expansion. The device runs Nothing OS 3.2, based on Android 15, and the company has promised three major OS updates and up to six years of security patches.

The battery is rated at 5,000mAh and supports 33W charging with 5W reverse charging. According to Nothing, the battery on the CMF Phone 2 Pro should retain at least 90% of its original capacity after 1,200 charge cycles.

Other features on the new CMF Phone 2 Pro include NFC and standard connectivity options, such as dual nano SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS. It also has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating and an in-display fingerprint reader for device security.

As we mentioned earlier, the phone features modularity, and Nothing has a number of accessories available for it, including fisheye and macro lenses, a universal cover, and a wallet/stand. These are sold separately. The lenses are priced at €35/£35, the universal cover costs €25/£25, and the wallet/stand accessory is priced at €35/£35.

Now, let’s talk about the prices for the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The 8GB/128GB configuration starts at just €250/£220, while the 8GB/256GB variant is available for €280/£250.

American customers need not feel left out, as Nothing is offering the new CMF Phone 2 Pro in the US through the Beta Program for $280. The device is already available for pre-order and should be available on store shelves by May 6.
