Nokia to build 5G network for Globe Telecom in the Philippines

As part of Globe Telecom’s rapid 5G service expansion in the Philippines, Finnish company Nokia have announced that it won an order from Globe Telecom to build the 5G network infrastructure for the Visayas and Mindanao.

Globe Telecom said its 5G network is already in 1,069 areas nationwide, 848 of which are in Metro Manila and Rizal while 221 are in areas around Visayas and Mindanao.

In addition to providing the equipment’s for the deployment of 5G for Globe, Nokia will also upgrading PLDT’s existing 4G network.
