It’s no surprise that HMD Global would eventually bring their latest devices locally. The recently announced Nokia 7.2 at IFA 2019 in Berlin won awards and captured the hearts both from Nokia fans and regular mobile phone users alike.
It’s one of HMD Global’s new mid-range handsets and as a new device to the current Nokia 7 series. The Nokia 7.2 brings triple rear cameras, an award-winning display, dedicated Google Assistant button and of course AI technologies.
Build-wise, The new Nokia 7.2 is built on a sturdy polymer composite, a type of plastic with on par durability as polycarbonate and lighter than aluminum. While it’s a step back from the usual metallic frames on new devices. This choice of material that HMD Global makes means that while the frames feels plastic, it’s as well-built as its metal counterparts that can easily resist flexing under pressure. Making it a little more premium though is the glass back and front which looks stunning in real life.

It comes with a 6GB of RAM and a 128GB of internal storage and is powered by a maturing yet still highly capable Snapdragon 660 chipset, it seems that the Chipset is still loved by HMD Global given its track-record and computing capabilities.
The cameras on the new Nokia 7.2 totals of four sensors with three of which being at the back while a single Selfie camera sits nicely on a dewdrop notch on the front.
The main camera modules is powered primarily by a 48 Megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 Aperture and is supported by an 8 Megapixel camera with an f/2.2 Aperture UltraWide angle lens and a 5 Megapixel depth sensor.
On the front you have a single 20 Megapixel Selfie camera which uses AI technologies for facial-recognition. All lenses are equipped with Zeiss optics for superb imaging capabilities including the newly introduced NightMode and AI bokeh effect at a very affordable price.
Keeping it up is a 3500 mAh Li-Po Battery that supports 10W fast charging, it’s the the fastest though but At least it gets full before a couple of hours.
