Nokia Lumia 730 and Lumia 735, Microsoft’s selfie centric device at an affordable price

IFA 2014, Berlin. Nokia has finally announced its first selfie centric Lumia 730. Design primarily for people who likes to take photos of themselves or a groupie perhaps, the Lumia 730 comes equipped with a high-resolution 5 Megapixel wide-angle front facing camera. Available in two variants, the Lumia 730 offers dual-SIM functionality while the Lumia 735 supports LTE wireless connectivity.

Both the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 flaunts a 4.7-inch HD OLED display and features a superSunlight readability with highly sensitive touch panel. Inside is a capable 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage. If internal storage isn’t enough, users can insert of up to 128 GB of microSD card into the handsets to make more room for apps and multimedia files. It comes pre-installed with Windows Phone 8.1 so users should enjoy a full blown experience of the latest features from Windows Phone.

Integrated in Windows Phone 8.1, is the built-in Skype app which gives users a free three-month worldwide subscription available in selected markets, users will be able to make skype calls for free with family and friends. Mics with integrated noise cancelling technology, users are able to communicate in clear and crisp audio.

In addition to the hi-res front camera, The Lumia 730 is also equipped with 6.7 Megapixel back facing camera which is able to take clear images even in low light. Backed by an improved Nokia Camera app. Shooting is a lot easier and fun with camera controls at an easy rich and with a handful of extra camera features that improves the images being captured.

The Lumia 830 comes with 2,200 mAh battery which should be enough to last a day. Windows Phone 8.1 which brings Live tiles and Action Center, Cortana and a vast number of improvements in the newest version of Windows Phone 8 OS. Together with the new Denim update users will have an out-of-the-box experience with the new Live Folders, Apps Corners, Network Security features, improved Cortana and most notably the improvements in Nokia Camera app.

Both the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 will be available this September with an estimated price of 199 euros for the 3G Dual-SIM Lumia 730 and 219 euros for the LTE compatible handset the Lumia 735. Users may choice from a number of color options: Bright Green, Bright Orange, Dark Gray and White.
