Nokia launches first Smart TV in India through Flipkart

Nokia as a brand is well know for its mobile phones but the brand itself isn’t just limited to that. The phone division alone is an entirely different branch handled by HMD Global, outside of that ecosystem the Nokia brand also thrive in other areas such as in network infrastructure and now in gadgets and home appliances.

In the Indian market for one, Nokia partnered with Flipkart to bring the first Nokia branded Smart Television: the Nokia 55CAUHDN. The new Nokia Smart TV is a 55-inch IPS-ADS display with 4K resolution at 60Hz refresh rate, a 1200:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angles. It supports HDR and wide-color gamut and also Dolby Vision.

JBL Audio handles the audio for the new Nokia Smart TV with an integrated soundbar at the bottom of the Television. Its sound system supports Dolby Audio and DTS Tru Surround.

The new Nokia Smart TV is powered by a Quad-core CPU at 1GHz and comes with 2.25GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It supports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and includes 3x HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. It runs on Android TV 9.0 operating system with Chromecast built-in.

The Smart TV has a minimalist design and unlike most of the Television nowadays, the Nokia Smart TV features a center stand so users won’t have to worry about space to put up the device.

As for the price, the Nokia Smart TV retails at INR 41,999 by December 10 at 12 through India’s Flipkart.
